Since the dawn of time, the Blair Continent has seen thousands of battles, has seen heroes and kings rise to the summit, and has seen these same people fall like ashes, scattered in the wind.
For the citizens of the Blair Continent, war has been just another part of life - it mattered not to them the name of what new king or upstart tyrant ruled over them this month, but how their new overlord treated them. Would their sons be conscripted? Would the overlord's armies steal their food, raze their fields?
Or, would they be treated with benevolence? Such leaders were scarce, the moments of reprieve they brought, fleeting.
As time passed, nine powers established themselves as the leaders of the war-torn continent. To best the other eight powers, each nation spent a great deal of resources grooming the next generation of generals and strategists.
In most cases, these specially groomed prodigies proved loyal to the nation that nurtured them, and would spearhead efforts against their peers from the other nations. However, this story will follow the life of one such prodigy who abandoned his duty to his country to pursue his own ambition and ideals.
His name, is Rojan.
