We have to wait an entire day for ourselves. We better stroll through the city to see what we can do, or if there is anything that the King would have told us to do. I still think about King Wieka, him and his suicidal plan to bring down goddess Ifrit, that old man is willing to lose it all for this world and country that he loves, I have never seen someone in my world love their world and country so much that they are willing to die for it.
"What do you think we should do Hana?"- I looked around the city, not knowing what we should do at first, there are many things we could do, but, we should take it one at a time.
"Well, we should be visiting some landmarks or killing some monsters for their skills"- I suggested to her via the telepathic link.
"It's best that we refrain from killing anything. Everything including the monsters is owned by the local lord here. It is best that we refrain from doing it. I know you two are eager for a fight but let’s refrain from doing this for now"- Fumiko appeared behind us exhausted, looking like she had run a marathon. Is she connected to our telepathic link or something? Or did she think about it and come running to warn us?
"You look exhausted, what happened to you Fumiko?"- Hana turned towards Fumiko and lifted her. She is so short that we can both comfortably lift her.
"Well, I did run after the 2 of you. I knew you would want to kill some monsters while you are here. I know that everyone earns exp while killing monsters, but Lord Ikrel gets mad if you even kill monsters unless you have a very good reason"- Hana let Fumiko down after a bit.
"What should we do then? Maybe go shopping? Nah, we need to save some money"- Yawning, I looked at one of the shops in the city. I don't think we can afford anything there, well, we can, but only a few things. We can't be rash with our spending.
"That looks like a sweet shop, can we please go there?"- Fumiko asked while making those puppy eyes kids make. It works on her because she is small and thin, but if it was someone else, it wouldn't have worked.
"Sure."- Hana responded and carried Fumiko on her back. Man, she fell for it, well, I am not the one to talk, I also did
"I don't know if going to a sweet shop is productive. We need to save our money"- This sucks a lot, we can't spend a lot of money, but I guess relaxing won't hurt. Babysitting Fumiko is part of our job since we are here anyway.
"Come on Hikaru, relax for a bit. It's not as bad as you say it is"- Hana tried to at least appease me in some way. It's bad, it is bad. I can't speak that way in front of Fumiko, but I can, at least talk to Hana through the telepathic link.
!I suggest you relax from time to time. The events that are about to unfold will require a good amount of energy to achieve them.!
"Why are you advising me, Sia, I thought you were a skill that only makes fun of me or something."- I spoke in a sarcastic tone to Sia. Lately, she is making fun of me a little bit too much
I can hear Hana starting to laugh a little at my conversation with Sia

I finally give in and we go into the sweet shop.
A pleasant scent hit me at the door of the shop, and when we opened the door I was shocked to find modern-looking sweets there, all of them in wooden displays, in the back of the shop, you can see a bakery where all of these sweets are made.
"There are so many options Hana!"- Fumiko took a step forward and looked at the sweets on the display.
"Indeed, I might choose something for myself."- I was looking off in a secluded section, banana chips with chocolate, I liked those a lot in my previous life, at least Hana and I used to eat them a lot. Looking around once more, there are people, giving me weird looks, some of them are even horrified of me. Do I look that bad?
Looking at the prices these are cheap. But the cheapest ones are the Banana chips with chocolate.
"Don't worry Hikaru, I will pay for them"- Fumiko saw me eyeing the banana chips, they looked similar to the ones in my world but they were a little wider. How long and wide are the bananas in this world?
"Ok, if you insist"- This shop is strangely regarding us, what is happening? Even the shopkeepers and workers here are looking at us like we are going to attack any seconds

"Why are demons feared again?"
"Hey miss, we will take 2 bags of banana chips, and 2 raspberry cakes please"- Fumiko smiled at them, when I tried to get closer the women at the sweet shop brought Fumiko closer to the counter.
!Because of the now brainwashed King Wieka, is the main reason why they are feared, same with other sentient monsters, he is the root cause of the problem since the goddess got control over his brain, she made him say a lot of outlandish things he won’t usually say.
"Well, I think you are right Sia. Well, how do I change my aura? Can't Lucifer disguise my aura?"- This is what seems weird to me, why can't my Primordial skill disguise my aura as well?
!It can but you never commanded it to, they disguise you but not your aura or the magic that is around you. Remember skills such as Lucifer who have no sentience will do exactly what you ask them to do and nothing more, I can predict what you may use certain things for and enable some extra features.!
"Understood"
The women served us our food, and at that time I made Lucifer disguise our aura as well. The people working in the sweet shop still looked at me with disgust and anger. We felt like outsiders or dangerous criminals while we were there.
"Don't mind them Hikaru"- Hana touched my hand for a few seconds, speaking through the telepathic link.
"Come on Hikaru, you can dig in as well, these sweets are delicious!"- Fumiko is chewing her food rather fast.
"A demon here?"- Someone whispered while looking at us.
We were just sitting outside the sweet shop trying to eat our food
"That is the daughter of Lord Welcia there. What is a filthy creature like that doing there with her?"- One of the human customers commented, well, more like a whisper but I still heard it due to my high senses.
"Is she kidnapped or something? No, she seems quite to enjoy herself there"- Some other humans whispered.
"Is it ok to leave a demon here? We haven't seen one in ages. I am afraid that he will be turned into a slave like us forced to work for Lord Ikrel"- Slaves? Lord Ikrel?
"Less talking more working, and keep that freak out of the way of the customers"- An old woman, she looks like the one running things around here, better lay low.
"Understood"- It's useless to whisper due to my senses, something that is being talked around 10-20 meters from me, even in a whisper I can hear it.
We finished eating and we went to the main street.
"I need some time for myself"- Looking everywhere I saw a small alley where I took a small walk, in the end, I bumped into one of the women working at the sweet shop, she looked like another monster just like me, but her features were hidden by her outfit.
"Hello there. There is something that I need to tell you"- I helped her up and we both sat down somewhere no one could hear us.
"Sure, go ahead, I am listening. Also, I heard all of the conversations in the sweet shop."- I stared at her for a few minutes and then she stared at me.
"Monsters here are treated as slaves, demons are especially valuable around these parts, we don't want you to become a slave like us, law dictates that humans are to be kept away from demons but not other monsters so we had to bring that girl closer to us, sorry"- She looked at me again putting one of her hands on my shoulder.
"It's nothing. But thanks for the heads up"- Going back to the alley, she followed me until I reached back to Fumiko and Hana.
"Well, see you 3 off. Hope better times come and we may see you again"- She waved us off.
Now, what are we going to do next?
Reflecting on this day, it's like in school, because of my condition I was ignored, people were talking behind my back all the time and I was insulted. Not a great feeling to feel
I have to do something about this monster slavery situation. Once we take both Lords out I am sure Fumiko will abolish slavery once in for all.
