Chapter 73 - Strong Reinforcements Arrive, Director Temporarily Exits the Scene

"Director!"

Cheng Du violently kicked open the door to the rooftop access hut and barged through.

The brutal standoff between the two combatants came fully into view.

The woman was drenched in blood and covered in gruesome wounds, clearly outmatched by the Director.

Fu Hu charged in right on Cheng Du's heels.

Fu Qingdai followed closely behind, flanking Zhang Wan, Sister Liu, Old Sun, and Old Wei.

Cheng Du instantly sprinted forward, taking his place beside Su Jin.

Fu Hu grabbed the access door. Before slamming it shut, he barked an order at the others. "Stay out of this! It's too dangerous. Head back downstairs and keep watch!"

Without waiting for a response, he rushed to join Su Jin.

"Hah... I thought we were dealing with another badass, but it's just some crippled, ugly bitch!" Cheng Du spat a glob of phlegm onto the concrete, cursing without a shred of decency.

But as he glanced down, his eyes locked onto something and froze. He slowly looked back up at Su Jin, whose face was flushed crimson and sweating profusely.

He gasped in utter, heartbroken shock. "Director! You... no fucking way! Damn it, you're actually turned on by this piece of trash? Or did Jiang Yu just get your engine revving? Your reaction time is way too delayed!"

"And what the hell is with the sock?" Cheng Du reached out and yanked the dirty sock right out of Su Jin's nostril.

"Cut the bullshit! Hold your ground! Watch that woman!" Fu Hu thrust an arm out, shielding Cheng Du and Su Jin as he locked a death glare on Liang Cui. "Director, what the hell is wrong with you?"

"I... I've been hit..." Su Jin gritted out, his neck veins bulging as he fought a desperate war for his own mind. "Don't look in her eyes... Her ability... it seduces men. I can't... I can't bring myself to attack her."

"It's mental control. I don't know the trigger... scent... vision... could be anything..."

"What scent? Seducing men?" Cheng Du blinked in bewilderment, then sneered at Liang Cui with unmasked disgust. "Damn, the longer I look at this hag, the more I want to puke!"

"Understood. Director, can you hold on?" Fu Hu asked tensely.

"Why the hell is Cheng Du immune...? Do you have guns? Kill her... Damn it! Forget about me!" Su Jin let out a feral, guttural roar, hunched over, and sprinted away into the shadows of the roof.

"Shit. The Director is in deep. He's way stronger than us, so we need to be extremely careful," Fu Hu whispered. "That woman hasn't made a move yet; she's definitely plotting something. I'm completely out of ammo and forgot to reload. What about you?"

"I rushed up here; didn't bring a piece," Cheng Du whispered back. "But look at her—the Director already butchered her. She's bleeding out. Don't tell me we can't handle a one-eyed, half-dead cripple."

As they muttered to each other, Liang Cui kept her distance, her brow furrowed in cold calculation as she studied the newcomers.

She had no idea what these two were capable of, but that wasn't what bothered her.

They were standing right inside her area of effect. Why weren't they thralls yet?

The terrifying one they called 'Director' was already incapacitated. Retreating now would be a massive waste!

He had nearly slaughtered her. If she let him live, finding another opportunity for revenge would be impossible.

She decided to test the waters. If things went south, she could still make a run for it.

"Move!"

Cheng Du roared, launching himself forward like a rabid dog.

Blistering flames erupted across his skin. Fu Hu charged right behind him, hardening his resolve and clenching his iron fists.

Watching the duo rush her, Liang Cui let out a raspy, scornful laugh and lunged forward to meet them head-on!

Two pieces of trash. Just based on their pathetic speed, they were a joke compared to the man who ruined her face. Even half-dead, she could crush them.

"Pincer!"

Fu Hu barked the command as the enemy closed the distance. The two men immediately split, flanking her from the left and right.

Liang Cui darted right through the gap between them, her slender arm snapping out like a whip toward Fu Hu.

She effortlessly weaved under his heavy haymaker and slammed a palm strike directly into his sternum.

Fu Hu let out a muffled grunt. His sturdy frame barely swayed before he threw another vicious punch at her head.

On her blind side, Cheng Du unleashed his assault!

Wreathed in roaring flames, he threw a devastating hook, trailing a blazing arc of fire nearly ten inches long.

The fiery strike caught her off guard. The sheer ambient heat blasted her face, completely singeing off her bangs in a puff of smoke.

"Smells like burnt pig hair! You ugly sow!" Cheng Du taunted wildly, raining down a relentless barrage of fiery strikes.

Fu Hu whiffed two heavy blows in a row, his heart sinking with anxiety.

She was simply too fast. His brute-force brawling couldn't land a solid hit.

He quickly realized he needed to pivot and let Cheng Du act as the primary damage dealer.

Instantly shifting tactics, Fu Hu abandoned all attempts to injure Liang Cui, focusing purely on grappling and containment.

Liang Cui danced through their attacks, parrying and occasionally throwing a vicious counter-strike, her annoyance spiking by the second.

These bastards actually knew how to coordinate. She had severely underestimated them.

They were turning out to be far more of a nuisance than she anticipated.

The older man clearly possessed enhanced strength and immense physical durability, but lacked any lethal tricks.

The pyromaniac, however, was a nightmare. He spewed literal fire from his nostrils, bobbing and weaving erratically. Paired with the old man's interference, he was incredibly difficult to pin down.

And worse, she had no idea what other deranged fire-tricks he had up his sleeve.

But the glaring question remained: why weren't they seduced yet? Usually, a man's resistance varied based on his willpower.

The stronger and more virile the man, the faster her pheromones broke him. These two looked perfectly healthy—why were they entirely unaffected?

Especially that younger prick. All he did was spew absolute vulgar filth at her!

After thirty agonizing seconds of close-quarters brawling, Cheng Du spotted an opening. He unhinged his jaw, preparing to vomit a point-blank blast of lethal hellfire.

Right as the inferno surged up his throat, Liang Cui lashed out like a striking viper, driving her palm straight into the bottom of his chin.

His jaw snapped shut with a sickening clack, violently forcing the erupting flames back down his own esophagus.

Liang Cui sneered coldly. "Hah! Just as I thought. You two are nothing but cheap parlor tricks!"

Without wasting another breath, she pushed off the concrete and bolted straight toward the shadows where Su Jin had vanished!

Her injuries were dragging her down. She couldn't kill these two quickly enough, and a war of attrition would be her death sentence.

That terrifying Director was already her thrall. Weaponizing him to slaughter his own men was her guaranteed ticket out of here.

Seeing the succubus break contact and sprint toward their incapacitated leader, Fu Hu and Cheng Du went pale with sudden, horrifying realization.

Without a second thought, they bolted after her!

Unfortunately, Liang Cui was just a fraction too fast. Realizing they were losing ground, Cheng Du let out a manic, desperate roar.

FWOOSH! Twin jets of pressurized flame erupted from his buttocks, obliterating the seat of his pants. Using his ass as a literal nitro-boost, he launched forward like a human missile, instantly overtaking Liang Cui by a full body length!

"What the hell!?"

Liang Cui snapped her head to the side, her single remaining eye bulging in utter disbelief at the blazing madman who had just outpaced her.

Before she could process the absurdity, Cheng Du's flaming hook was already hurtling toward her face!

She threw up her guard in a panic. The sheer kinetic heat instantly incinerated her sleeve, searing a grotesque, blackened patch into her pale flesh.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Fu Hu bellowed. He slammed into her flank like a freight train, completely severing her path to Su Jin.

In a heartbeat, the rooftop devolved back into a chaotic, three-way bloodbath.

After dozens of grueling exchanges, Cheng Du's stamina began to redline. He screamed desperately into the darkness, "Director!! Are you good yet?! Where the hell are you?!"

Fu Hu's heart hammered against his ribs. He immediately recognized the grim reality of their situation.

Cheng Du's fire powers were chaotic and devastating, but they burned through his stamina at an unsustainable rate.

He had been riding the redline this entire fight; his internal gas tank was practically empty.

If the Director could just shake off the mind control and step in, a single strike from him would end this bitch.

Su Jin was the absolute crux of their survival!

The sheer desperation in Cheng Du's voice forced a pause. All three combatants briefly broke away, their eyes darting across the gloomy rooftop, searching for the terrifying warlord.

As the brawl drifted closer to the edge of the roof, the shadows finally parted, revealing Su Jin.

He was huddled in the dark recess behind the access hut, hunched over like a gargoyle. His face was a mask of furious, twitching anxiety, his arm furiously working up and down.

The three fighters froze in their tracks, jaws unhinged, their eyes wide with absolute disbelief.

He... he was jerking off?!
