I had the broad outline of the story penned from the first chapter, but I've gone through and made a more thorough outline deciding what each of the next 20 odd chapters need to include/accomplish. Even with all that, it's amazing how much rewriting I'll need to do for the story when I make it to the end already. Most of my writing background comes from D&D, so minor retcons and tying in characters can be a bit easier in that format. With a proper webnovel, I can already see all the little things I'd like to have included a chapter or so ago, to help whatever small choice I'd like to include in the next ones flow more easily. It's still is a ton of fun to make though, even if it won't be perfect.
