Chapter 6 - Forced to explore!

"How has it come to this," Eria said as he looked behind, "Seems like something's disturbing the wolves. Maybe it's that white light I saw before. Although I would like to check it out, it's not the time; I need to get to the village quickly."

Although he was curious about the white light, it still failed to seduce him. Right now, he had more important things to do; he had to immediately go to the Glaze village. He was concerned for the safety of his family.

"What do I do? I can't directly confront those silver wolves. All of them possess the strength of peak level one or above." Eria was in a pickle. The magical creatures before him could tear him apart in a few seconds if he were to confront them in a fight.

"Swish"

While he was perplexed about what to do, a golden figure dashed towards him at high speed, producing a sonic boom. Once he saw the incoming figure, he exclaimed, "Is that a Golden wolf. Damn it! Why did I have to pick a short path without scouting? Did the Rebirth God reincarnate me to make me suffer? "

Although the figure was five hundred meters away, Eria knew the figure was a magical beast. He couldn't see it clearly but he knew it was heading towards him at a sonic speech using its four limbs. Moreover, the golden fur indicated that it was a golden wolf; member of the most powerful race in the hundred beast forest. From what he heard from the village chief, there were only fifty of them in the whole of the hundred beast forest.

If he were to have his god power, he wouldn't have even given it a look; but right now, he was a young boy, who was at the begging level as a mage. Moreover, he had finished all of his leftover god power earlier so he couldn't muster more and scare off the creature.

"If it has come to this, I have no choice!" Eria said as he rolled up his sleeve, closed his eyes, and began to chant, "Oh holy heaven, give me the power of thousand sun- Firebolt!"

It took him two seconds to chant out the entire words, whereas the figure had already made it twenty meters within Eria in those split seconds. Although Eria was a bit of dismay, he made a quick decision; he stepped back and gathered mana around him in his hand after he finished his chanting. Fireball, the size of a fist, hovered over Eria's side. However, before he could throw it towards the figure, a voice appeared in his mind," Human, I am no danger. However, if you want to throw it, you can."

"Spirit speech!" Eria was baffled, and the fireball in his hand exploded due to the lack of concentration. The mana inside his body wasn't enough to stabilize the fireball.

"Booom!"

Black smoke came off from Eria's body as the after effect settled. Blood gushed out from his mouth as he tried to stand up. Luckily, he had minimized the damage by cutting off the mana source and disrupting the whole process, or the damaged would have been more serious.

"I said you can throw it, dumbass!" the mysterious voice once again sounded within Eria's brain. However, Eria could only give a bitter smile as a response. Just as he was about to ask a question, his eyes nearly popped eyes.

"A do...g!" Eria exclaimed as he glanced at the figure with golden fur. The magical beast before him was tiny. It was currently standing on four short limbs with similar feature to a dog. Eria received a great surprise; he didn't expect the great danger to turn out to be a dog.

The magical beast elegantly lifted its snout and said, "Yeah. I am a great leader, the king of... what did you say? Did you call me a dog! Are you looking for death?"

"Sorry, I meant to say great do... a domineering, and grand Golden wolf! You might have heard me wrong." Eria put on an act as he knew he was on the mercy on the small creature before him. He knew he wasn't the best actor, so he was worried his grand life was going to end with a confrontation against a dog.

"I see. People make mistakes. You must have a speaking problem, so I won't make it hard for you." the magical creature sighed seemingly thinking itself as a forgiving king. "Anyway, I don't have time for that. You seem to be connected to the god light that's currently resisting the evil light. Come with me."

Eria was slightly confused once he heard the explanation. He looked at the magical beast with a suspicious look. Nevertheless, once he realized the creature was going to kidnap him, he put himself in a defensive position.

"Don't worry. I have no ill intention. If I wanted to take you by force, I would have done it ages ago. I am just giving you a choice now."

Eria had a face of conflict as he said, "But, I need to go back to my village. It's urgent."

The dog yawned and said in response, "I have done a divination performance. I know that you are the only hope for this disaster. Anyway, those silver wolf would probably not let you go, so let's make a deal. You help me, and I will help you get to the village."

Eria thought for a moment. He sighed and once again looked back towards the cliff. He knew that if he were to go back without any support, he would be dead.

"Don't worry! I will go to my village from a different path," Eria said as he thought about a different plan. He knew another path which led to the village. Although it would take hours to make it to the village, it was better to be safe than being involved in a catastrophe.

"Haha. You are a funny fellow. Magical beasts rule the whole forest, so you have zero chance of survival. " The magical creature said with an evil grin.

"I... guess I have no choice. Take me there. I will see what I can do," Eria was left speechless. He knew he was being threatened. If he were to make the wrong move, he would die a meaningless death.

Furthermore, he was being attracted to the mystery so he wanted to check it out himself. Although he was concerned for his family and the villagers, he had no other choice to go. Otherwise, he would be giving his life for no reason.

"Great. Let's go to the holy pond. Don't worry. You aren't making a loss. I will certainly give you a reward for your contribution," the magical creature said as it turned back and led Eria towards the source of the white light.
