In the next day, they packed their things and continued their journey alongside aira and Erik.
In the mid way, they batted many monsters and stopped to take some rest.
“Grandpa, as we are going near to the capital, the monsters just keeps increasing while being strong. But when we passed through the forest, there aren’t that much monsters. There must be something going on here.” Krishna said.
“You are right krishna. There is something going on here. We must rush to the capital.” Shen said.
As they are talking they sensed another herd of monsters coming their way. They stood up and started to fight.
“Everyone, be careful from these monsters. Some of them are venomous and many of them are too much strong.” Erik said.
“Erik, let’s you and I deal with the stronger ones. As for the weaker ones, krishna and aira will take care of them.” Shen said.
“Yeah; let’s finish this quickly.” Erik said.
Shen and Erik are fighting against some strong monsters. Aira and Krishna are fighting against the mid and weaker ones.
As they battled and on the verge of winning the battle, a 20 rock horned rhinos of level 15 came with a level 29 iron horned rhino as their leader.
“Wait; another battle?” Krishna said.
“Everyone! Run away when the time is right. They are all level 15 rhinos with earth powers and a level 29 iron horned rhino as their leader. It’s about to reach level 30. We can’t win this battle. Erik and I will give you some time to escape. We will meet you later.” Shen said.
“But grandpa shen, we came here as a team, so I won’t leave you. Let’s defeat these rhinos. And when we find the right timing, we can escape.” Krishna said.
“What krishna saying is absolutely correct Mr.shen. We will fight alongside each other.” aira said.
Seeing them, both Erik and shen was willing to give it their all.
“Okay then, I will leave the younger beasts to the younger ones. We will take care of their leader. Be careful and don’t put yourselves in danger.” Shen said.
“Lady Aira; be careful. Once I finished that big one, I will come and clean the remaining mess. Until then, please be safe. Krishna promise me one thing.” Erik said.
“What is it mr.erik?” Krishna asked.
“Promise me to take care of lady aira. Don’t let any monster harm her.” Erik replied.
“You can leave her to me. I will not let a single one of them harm her. It’s a promise.” Krishna said.
By hearing those words from Krishna Erik felt ease.
“Krishna, don’t come to me crying after this battle ok? Give it your all.” Shen said and laughed.
“You old geezer! Deal with that bug one or it will smash you.” Krishna shouted.
Shen and Erik was fighting the leader and Krishna and aira are fighting against the level 15 rhinos.
“I already fought a level 20 flame bear. So these are not that much harder. What troubles is their numbers. I don’t know swordsmanship that much. I have no choice but need to use my fists and formations. But I already used 2 formations. I only have less mental power left. I need to be careful.” Krishna whispered to himself.
At first Krishna and aira struggled. But as they fighting, they adapted to the rhinos fighting style and started to turn the tide. After some time, aira defeated five rock rhinos, while Krishna had defeated six.
Krishna looked at aira with a playful smile and said “ I defeated one more than you!”.
By hearing those words, aira become annoyed.
“Okay then only 11 rhinos are killed and 9 remained. Let’s see who will kill most of them.” Aira said.
“ Challenge accepted.” Krishna said while smiling.
They both started fighting again and after a few minutes, aira had defeated total of 9 rhinos and Krishna also defeated 9 rhinos. Only two remaining. But, due to continuous fighting they both ran out of their strength. Aira has ran out of mana and Krishna was physically exhausted. His body stopped moving and aira’s control of her sword became less accurate. The two remaining rhinos are heading their way. But aira and Krishna unable to move.
“My body has reached its limit. It won’t move. I only had a single formation in my arsenal.” Krishna said.
Krishna was about to use his final formation on the rhino charged towards him. However, when he looked at aira, he saw that she was completely stunned and unable to react. Another rhino was charging straight towards her.
Both rhinos were closing in on them, and within a fraction of second, they were about to attack.
Without hesitation, Krishna used his Lightning Binding Formation on the rhino charging towards aira. The formation successfully stopped the rhino, keeping aira safe.
However, the remaining rhino charged towards Krishna. With no power to use another technique, Krishna raised his hand to defend himself. The rhino struck his hands with tremendous force, severely injuring them and sending Krishna flying several meters away.
By seeing that, shen enraged. Out of anger shen released his ultimate technique, alongside Erik, he defeated the iron horned rhino and came to Krishna. Erik killed the remaining two rhinos.
“Krishna; krishna , wake up!” shen shouted.
They immediately took Krishna and aira away from that place to a safe place. Shen was treating Krishna’s wounds. Aira was so much worried about Krishna.
After taking some rest to heal, Erik and aira came to shen.
“Is he alright? How is his wounds?” Erika asked.
“He is still didn’t wake up. The injury on his left hand is too severe that takes at least 20 days to heal completely. In the meantime, he can’t use his fists.” Shen replied.
“ Krishna suffered because of me. If I had attacked it myself, he wouldn’t have had to interfere. He could’ve stopped the rhino charging toward him without getting injured. But now, he is suffering the injuries he got because of me.” Aira said.
“Don’t blame yourself aira. He is a good person. He would go to such lengths for his loved ones and he did the same for you too. If you blamed yourself and feel sad, that will make him sad also. So let bygones be bygones. Train and improve yourself so you can protect the ones you want. You also did a great battle and lost your mana. So go and take some rest. He may woke up by tomorrow.” Shen said.
After that, they all took some rest. Erik was guarding the area. Aira came to Erik.
“Hey erik, are you alright now?” aira asked.
“Yes milady. Iam alright. Why are you still awake?” Erik asked.
“I can’t sleep. Ever since Krishna injured, there is some pain in my heart. Every time I thought about him, it skipped a beat. I don’t know what’s happening. I feel guilty for what I had done to him.” Aira replied.
“Milady, as shen said; sometimes we can’t prevent the bad from happening. What you need to do is to work harder to become strong and take over the throne of our clan. Don’t let anyone distract you.” Erik said.
“I understood erik.” Aira said.
“Ok then, now go to sleep lady aira. Otherwise you can’t say apology to krishna in time.” Erik said.
By hearing that, aira immediately went to sleep.
“That brat! He actually befriended my lady and made her worried about him. But I need to look over them to prevent any relationships. She must not be distracted. Though he is a good one. Maybe I should leave that matters to them. May destiny chose that. I must show my gratitude to him tomorrow.” Erik said.
Shen took care of Krishna and went to sleep.
After some time he woke up and remembered everything what happened.
“Iam feeling so powerless. I must become strong so that I can save and protect my loved ones. I will become strong.” Krishna said.
The night has passed.
