Chapter 147 - CHAPTER 147: THE GODDESS REALM REUNION

The intense, blinding flash of the transition sliced through their vision without warning. For a fraction of a second, an absolute, icy silence took hold, a weightless void where neither time nor space seemed to exist.

Not again…

Nyx thought, her mind racing for a fleeting moment.

Where are we dropping now? What ravine, what forgotten realm, what new danger?

Beside her, the exact same thought passed through Silarias’ head.

Please let us land in one piece…

Both instinctively braced for the impact of a hard landing. But instead of rough ground or a freezing wind, they felt something soft at the exact same moment. Two pairs of tiny, warm hands pressed against Nyx’s hips, while two other pairs grabbed hold of Silarias’ arm.

“Waahh!! Surprise!! Congratulations, Nyx and Sil!!”

The squeaky, energetic voices of Miki and Ren burst out right in front of them like a sudden explosion of pure joy.

Then figures popped up all around them. Flashes of light exploded in every color of the spectrum, as if the sky itself were bursting open. Nyx blinked wildly, her vision still blurry from the transition. For a few confusing seconds, she couldn't tell who she was looking at, what she was seeing, or where on earth they had landed.

They were standing right in the middle of the Goddess Realm.

The Goddess Realm was no ordinary world, but a breathtaking, living universe of floating continents. Massive islands of dark, translucent obsidian and gold veined marble drifted weightlessly in an endless, violet cosmos. Between the islands flowed no rushing rivers of water, but wide, liquid ribbons of pure aurora light. These glowing bridges of gold, emerald green, and deep magenta swayed rhythmically, rolling like a warm ocean under their feet.

Beneath the foundation of the central island, the realm’s heart began to beat. A monumental, organic bass frequency rolled through the stone, a vibration that wasn't just heard, but physically resonated through their bones and bloodstream. With every heavy drumbeat echoing through the space, a shockwave of neon pink and gold shot through the liquid light beneath the islands, making the entire world seem to breathe in tempo.

The sky above was a dynamic canvas of pure magic. Millions of luminous fireflies, each the size of a glittering star, swarmed in massive, choreographed formations through the night. They flowed together into giant geometric patterns, transformed into pulsing mandalas, and exploded right at the climax of the music into a shower of cold, silver glitter that drifted down slowly without ever hitting the ground.

On the horizon of the floating rocks rose towering, jagged crystal formations acting as magical prisms. Whenever the musical frequencies reached a peak, the cores of the crystals ignited in blinding white light. They fired sharp, razor thin beams of light across the cosmic mists, intersecting and expanding into an awe inspiring ceiling of laser like light networks above the festival grounds.

Wherever the light beams hit the mist, floating clouds formed, dancing like colorful smoke to the melody. The air itself smelled of crisp ozone, sweet night blooming flowers, and ancient magic.

Nyx felt her throat tighten. The shock, the relief, and the overwhelming beauty of the scene hit her straight in the soul. Beside her, she saw Silarias’ eyes fill with big, glistening tears.

“Look at that…” Silarias whispered softly, his voice cracking with emotion. “They… they’re all here.”

Not far from them stood Juro, draped in his familiar aura of calm as the magical lights played across his face. Beside him stood Vespera, Moria, Sato, Yorick, and Kaelen.

Kaelen peered cautiously past the group toward the background. His eyes went wide as he spotted a figure that looked straight out of the oldest legends of the Cinder Pulse. A creature of liquid, shining chrome, an extended Chrome Mimic, stood on the fairytale like island, a broad smile on its reflective face as it waved wildly at them.

No way…

Kaelen thought, a shiver of awe running down his spine.

The stories were actually true…

Before he could dwell on it any longer, the ground beneath their feet began to tremble. A heavy, rhythmic thumping started rolling through the floating island, sounding deeper and louder than the pumping bass of the festival music.

THUD. THUD. THUD.

Out of the thick mist at the edge of the island, two massive shapes came charging out.

“Wait… are those…?” Nyx took a step forward.

It was Toki and Gulli. But they were enormous! Toki, with his three impressive heads and glossy fur, charged toward them with total abandon, his three tails wagging so hard they stirred up a breeze. Without slowing down, he tackled Nyx and Silarias, all three heads licking their faces at once. Gulli, having grown just as ridiculously huge, ran wild, joyful circles around them, letting out short, happy noises.

“Whoa! Easy, boys!” Nyx laughed through her tears, holding onto Toki’s heads tight and hugging him. “How on earth did you guys get so big?!”

Before order could be restored, the air above the central island crackled. A series of bright blue electrical flashes split the space open. Out of the swirling beams of light stepped several figures: Zephir, Bones, Elena Ouroboros, and her husband Sir Ouroboros. Their posture, their presence, and the sheer energy hanging around them made it instantly clear, they had been through brutal training. They were stronger, sharper, and completely transformed.

“Nyx! Silarias!” Zephir shouted with a broad grin, stepping up immediately to congratulate them. “We went through absolute hell to make it here on time!”

Bones gave an approving nod, while Elena and Sir Ouroboros offered their congratulations with respectful bows and warm smiles.

It all became too much for Silarias. The built up tension of recent times, the fear of the unknown, and the sudden wave of love and reunion poured out of him all at once. Tears streamed down his cheeks. Without waiting another second, he took off running across the glowing path, heading straight for Juro.

“Juro!!” he cried out, half sobbing.

Juro opened his arms just in time to catch him as Silarias threw himself forward, gripping his cloak tight. Silarias buried his face in the heavy fabric of his shoulder, his body shaking with muffled sobs.

“Easy now, Silarias,” Juro spoke in a deep, calm voice that cut right through the realm’s thumping bass. A subtle smile broke through his usual stern look. “You’ve come a long way. But today, only this moment matters. You are home.”

Silarias looked up, wiped a tear from his cheek, and laughed through his emotions. “I really thought we were going to end up stranded alone somewhere again… I had no idea you guys put all this together!”

In the background, a lively chaos of reunions and conversations took over. Jane, Aurelius, Lila, Beat, Nicola, and Lyn stood in a semicircle around Moria and Yorick.

Jane excitedly flicked her cat ears forward, her graceful Feline tail swishing back and forth with a mix of excitement and nerves. She quickly slipped her arm through Aurelius’, leaning her head heavily against his shoulder. “Aurelius, look! Do you see those light trails?! This is so ridiculously beautiful, I swear my heart is beating three times faster!”

Aurelius instantly flushed bright red. He tried to act cool, but couldn't suppress a nervous, smitten grin as he grabbed her hand, intertwining their fingers. “Y yeah, it’s really awesome, Jane… But honestly? Your eyes are shining brighter than all those crystals combined.”

Jane gave him a playful nudge with her shoulder, her Feline ears twitching with pleasure. “Don't be cheesy, idiot! But… that was sweet of you…”

Lila stood a short distance away, her hands trembling slightly. Tears welled in her eyes as she took in the familiar face of Moria and the powerful presence of Yorick. Without hesitation, she stepped forward, her voice shaking with pent up emotion.

“Moria… Yorick…” Lila whispered. “I… I can't believe you’re here. I missed you both so much.”

Moria’s dignified posture softened instantly. With a warm, motherly look, she stepped up to Lila and wrapped her arms tightly around her. “Look at you, Lila. You’ve grown so strong. We never left you behind in our thoughts.”

Yorick placed a heavy, protective hand on Lila’s shoulder, his usually rigid expression softening immensely with pride. “You’ve made us proud, kid. The lessons we gave you… you didn't just remember them, you surpassed them.”

Lila quickly wiped away a tear and laughed through her emotions, holding tight to her former mentors.

Beat shrugged with a relaxed grin, clasping his arms behind his head as he took in the scene with pride. “You won't hear me complaining. If this is how we celebrate victories, we should save worlds more often.”

Nicola looked around at the giant light beams shooting through the sky, shaking her head in disbelief. “I’m trying to process it, but this goes way beyond anything we’ve seen so far.”

Lyn looked on with a warm smile at Nyx and Silarias, who were still surrounded by the group. “They earned it. Every single one of us did, but them most of all.”

Standing near Juro were Apollo, Miki, and Ren. Little Miki was now perched proudly on Vespera’s shoulder, excitedly waving her small hands at the luminous fireflies drifting past.

“Look, Vespera! Look over there!” Miki squeaked, pointing to a crystal shooting a bright pink light beam into the cosmos. “It looks like a flying star!”

Vespera held Miki’s tiny hands securely so she wouldn't fall, letting out a soft laugh. “That’s a magical prism, little one. And if you listen closely, you can hear the light singing.”

Ren hopped up and down from the ground, waving wildly at Nyx. “Hey Sil! Hey Nyx! Did we give you a good scare or what?!”

Apollo threw an arm around Ren’s shoulder with a grin, looking toward Juro and Vespera. “Well, I think they thought they were dropping into another fight at first. But better this than a forest full of monsters, right?”

The entire realm breathed victory, reunion, and a fresh start, carried by the unrelenting rhythm of the magical music. The result was beyond words: everyone was deliriously happy, completely immersed in the moment. The energy, joy, and festive atmosphere filled every single corner of the space.

Right at that peak, King Solomon strolled up casually. Looking over the crowd with a smile, he asked, “So, kids, how do you like the gift?”

Without a second’s hesitation, Nyx threw her arms around his neck, with Silarias following right on her heels.

“Thank you, father in law! Haha!” Nyx shouted enthusiastically.

King Solomon glanced sideways at his assistant, Dopo, who immediately muttered under his breath with a stoic, unreadable face, “Sire… stay strong.”

Solomon recovered quickly, slapped a hand to his forehead, and said with a twinkle in his eye, “Oh right, I completely forgot! Go get in position, you’re going to love this…”

Before they could even ask what he meant, Beat, Miki, Ren, Aurelius, and Jane came sprinting toward them. They grabbed Nyx and Silarias tightly by the hands. Nyx and Silarias barely had time to exchange a quick, bewildered glance, wondering what on earth was about to happen.

In that exact moment, everything shifted.

The ground beneath their feet transformed into a majestic, shimmering crystal tile floor that stretched out as far as the eye could see. Thick, mysterious smoke began rolling over the tiles, and the music cut out abruptly. The silence was heavy with anticipation.

In the distance, the side crystals suddenly blasted intense light. Within the illumination, a figure became visible standing on a floating platform. In front of the figure sat a wooden rune desk, covered in countless gemstone buttons. The figure’s face remained hidden under the deep hood of a cloak, but their hands began rapidly pressing the gemstones across the table in a blinding blur.
