We finally get a look inside the machine. Base Theta and General Jakal represent the "Order" that Pragna is fighting to maintain. It’s cold, efficient, and terrified of chaos. I wanted to show that the "villains" here aren't just evil for the sake of it—they genuinely believe they are saving the world from suicide. Jakal is a fascinating character to write because he sees soldiers as bricks in a wall, not people.
Also, Project P-Unit has been authorized. If you've been paying attention to the lore drops, you might have a guess as to what that means for the future of our "heroes."
Question of the Chapter: Do you agree with Jakal's philosophy? Is a cruel order better than total chaos? Or is he just a tyrant justifying his power? Let me know in the comments!
