Chapter 106 - The Base is Under Siege

Even the boss was a woman.

This survivor base was overflowing with women, which suited Liu Yang just fine!

The more female superhumans there were, the better!

As long as he expanded his bloodline with them, he might even unlock new abilities!

As for their claim about refusing to lead him to the base, that was pure nonsense.

Since they had made it to the supermarket, their survivor base couldn't be far away-certainly no more than twenty kilometers.

With his ability to fly, he only needed to soar into the sky and scan the area to spot it.

Besides, if threats failed, Liu Yang wouldn't mind spending five minutes using Soul Chain to turn every last one of them into his obedient servants. They would willingly spill the base's location soon enough.

He had far too many trump cards.

Against ordinary superhumans like these, he had ten thousand ways to force submission!

Noticing the way the burly man looked at Lin Wan'er, Liu Yang turned to him with a smirk. "Tell me your base's location right now. Unless, of course, you want to watch me handle your goddess right in front of you?"

He stepped toward Lin Wan'er, reaching out to stroke her smooth, delicate face.

The burly man's eyes bulged in fury as he roared, "What... what are you doing?! Stop! Don't touch Sister Wan'er!"

Liu Yang chuckled, sliding his hand down to rest on the female superhuman's slender waist, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"You tell me to stop and I just stop? If you don't start talking, my hand is going inside her clothes next..."

The burly man looked ready to burst into tears. "Don't! Let Sister Wan'er go! Leave her out of this and target me instead! I'll tell you! Ask me anything, I'll tell you everything!!"

Only then did Liu Yang reluctantly draw his hand back from her waist.

Simps were truly the easiest creatures to manipulate, whether in the apocalypse or back in peaceful times.

Lin Wan'er sighed softly. "Forget it, I'll take you there. Stop playing games with us. With your strength, finding a nearby survivor base would be effortless.

"You kept us alive not because you couldn't kill us, nor because you truly needed a guide, but simply because you didn't feel like searching for it yourself."

She had seen through him long ago.

Their base was less than ten kilometers away. For a superhuman of his magnitude, locating it was child's play.

His idle threats were merely for his own amusement-or perhaps served some other purpose.

Surprised by her keen insight, Liu Yang looked her up and down. "Smart woman. Pretty, with a sharp head on your shoulders. You'd make an excellent addition to my bloodline."

He could tell that this beauty, addressed as Sister Wan'er by her men, had spoken up deliberately to ease the burly man's guilt.

She knew the big guy had already broken.

Even if she refused to lead the way, the man would have betrayed the base just to protect her.

By taking the initiative to yield, she spared him the disgrace of being labeled a traitor.

She truly lived up to her rank as second-in-command. That sense of responsibility and genuine care for her subordinates earned her their deep respect.

Lin Wan'er offered a faint smile. "You're quite handsome yourself, and undeniably powerful. If we weren't enemies, I actually wouldn't mind sharing a moment with you."

"Whether I'm your enemy depends entirely on you," Liu Yang replied smoothly. "Enough talking for now. I'm curious to see what your 'Big Sister' looks like. Lead the way."

"Follow me," Lin Wan'er nodded, taking the lead.

Before long, the group arrived near Xuantie Base.

However, even from a distance, they could tell something was terribly wrong.

Xuantie Base was currently swarmed by over a thousand zombies, launching a relentless assault on the structure!

Liu Yang was genuinely impressed by the sight. Xuantie Base was far superior to his Base 1 and Base 2!

Their outer perimeter was reinforced with high concrete walls over ten meters tall and more than a meter thick!

Constructing such massive defenses must have taken incredible effort.

This survivor base was clearly much larger and far better developed than his own settlements.

Inside, survivors lined the high walls, firing weapons continuously to repel the onslaught.

Lin Wan'er cried out in alarm, "Oh no! It's a zombie horde!"

"Damn it! Did they launch a surprise attack while we were out gathering supplies?"

"It's because those two Tier 3 zombies escaped last time! They must have gathered forces to retaliate while we were gone, trying to wipe our base off the map!"

"Dammit, where did those two Tier 3 zombies find so many Moulters? There are over a hundred of them! Dozens of Tier 2 zombies, and over a thousand Tier 1s! The base can't hold out much longer!"

"We have to help!"

Lin Wan'er turned urgently to Liu Yang. "Our base is under siege. This is no time for humans to fight amongst themselves! If the walls break, everyone inside dies!

"I won't demand your help, but please release us so we can eliminate the zombies first. Will you allow it?"

Throughout their journey, the ice needles had remained suspended above their heads.

Everyone knew that a single thought from Liu Yang would shatter their skulls.

Even with their home in dire peril, they could not move without his permission.

"No problem," Liu Yang nodded. With a flick of his wrist, the ice needles hovering over their foreheads vanished.

Feeling the immediate threat to her life vanish, Lin Wan'er froze in surprise. She hadn't expected him to agree so readily.

"Aren't you afraid we'll run away? Or group up with the other superhumans inside to turn on you?"

Liu Yang chuckled, his face brimming with utter confidence. "Not at all. Even if your entire base joins forces, you're still no match for me."

Lin Wan'er shook her head. "You certainly don't lack confidence."

Yet she couldn't deny that his unshakeable arrogance was strikingly attractive.

She had never met a man so powerful, nor one so mesmerizing.

Liu Yang grinned. "When you have strength like mine, staying humble is impossible."

"Thank you!" Lin Wan'er said with sincere gratitude. Turning to her team, she shouted, "Brothers, move out! Follow me to support the base and wipe out those zombies!"

Spurred on by their goddess, the survivors cheered as if injected with adrenaline.

"Follow Sister Wan'er and slaughter the horde!"

"Show them what Xuantie Base is made of!"

"Those two Tier 3 zombies die today! Don't let them escape again!"

"Charge! Kill them all!"
